The Medicine of French Food Culture
The daily rhythms of eating in France offer both a sensory delight and deeply grounded way to move through life.On this culinary immersion in Provence, let yourself be gently guided into the beauty and calm of the countryside and its delicious gifts.Traditional French food culture has spent centuries refining the balance of structure and pleasure. We invite you to experience the simple, restoring joy of being present at the table every day.Spring is our favorite time to visit Provence, just as the aromatic herbs awaken and before the summer heat arrives.
Who this is for
This immersion is designed for women (ages 16+) whether traveling independently or sharing the experience with a mother, daughter, sister, or friend.
You will feel right at home here if you:
Seek a return to the kitchen as devotion: shifting from daily chore to care, presence, and creative pleasure, with all culinary levels welcome.
Are ready for a nervous system reset: letting unhurried, regularly timed meals anchor your days into a grounded, restorative pace.
Appreciate gentle guidance and cultural immersion: favoring slowness over rigid agendas, with spaciousness for spontaneous surprises, practicing French with locals if desired.
Value a smaller group setting: welcoming shared space with just eight women, where intergenerational connection and lighthearted laughter can unfold without pretense.
Embrace daily movement and vitality: finding joy in an active lifestyle that includes walking historic village paths, navigating uneven stone inclines, and exploring open-air markets.

About your guide
Kimberly Dunn
Kindred Voyages was originally founded in 2009 by MayaJoëlle Aubry to share the love of her native country France. She joyfully provided the traveler with opportunities to visit France like a welcomed friend.MayaJoëlle and I met in 2023, shortly after I returned from living in Forcalquier. Recognizing our shared devotion to French culture, culinary arts, and intentional hosting, she gracefully passed the torch of Kindred Voyages to me. In 2025, I led my first trip to Provence, carrying forward the spirit of gently-guided travel that she began 16 years prior. My path as an international guide is shaped by a life of global immersion, culinary arts, and mindful movement. Fluent in French and Chinese, I spent eight years living abroad in Shanghai and southern France. In the course of 15 years as a yoga instructor, I created and led immersive retreats across six different regions of rural China. Combined with three years of facilitating women's circles and teaching cooking classes, I have built a strong foundation in facilitating intimate and cross-cultural group dynamics.I find great joy in bringing women together and introducing guests to the places I have lived, loved, and called home. Provence is one of these beloved places, and I look forward to sharing the rhythms of la cuisine with you.
